but note this pearl of wisdom from Jon Mellings:
"I find if sorting large numbers of Sitona spp, the gap between the fore coxae and the constriction at the front of the prosternum is really useful, then can go back and sort based on other features- obviously species with upright pubescens/ scales are quickly spotted, but the ones with the deep v shape between the eyes also seem to have the gap between the constriction."
